Railway Straight to Wonogiri Station
The Purwosari-Wonogiri-Baturetno railway line is one of the branch lines on the island of Java which is still actively operating even though it is considered economically unprofitable. This line is included in the Yogyakarta Operational Area VI, connecting Purwosari Station in the western part of Surakarta City and Wonogiri Station. Competition with road transport and the quality of existing rail makes this route unable to be utilized optimally.
