Amla is a fruit bearing tree. It is a shrub plant about 20 feet to 25 feet tall. Apart from Asia, it is also found in Europe and Africa. Amla plants are found in abundance in the Himalayan region and peninsular India. Its fruits are green, smooth and fleshy. Their fruits are bitter in taste.
