Whittington Castle is a castle in north Shropshire, England, owned and managed by the Whittington Castle Trust. The castle was originally a motte-and-bailey castle, but in the 13th century it was replaced by one with buildings around a courtyard, the outer wall of which was the outer wall of the inner courtyard.
