The Old Mine Science and Art Center in Wałbrzych Poland was established on the premises of the Julia Coal Mine in 1770.

The Old Mine Science and Art Center was opened on November 9, 2014 [1] after a thorough expansion of the Museum of Industry and Technology located in this place since 1999. Previously, there was a historic Coal Mine `Julia`, which was put into liquidation in 1990 due to lack of profitability, and on September 20, 1996, the last coal cart left the mine. In 2015, it was entered on the list of the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The brick tower hoisting towers of the `Julius` now `Julia` and `Ida` `Sobótka` shafts have survived to this day, referring to the old defensive towers. Their architectural décor is made in a classic-renaissance style.
