Pretty little bird standing on the edge of the waves at the beach
Shorebird standing at the waters edge looking for any food that will wash in. This seagull was just standing here as the waves crash in to see what was washing up on the beach. This is a herring gull, one of many different types of seagulls found at the Jersey shore. I love the grey and white colorations on his feathers and the black beak. The froth from the ocean is just coming ashore. This picture was taken at Sunset beach in Cape May New Jersey.
