Pyrisitia genus butterfly with ventral view
Pyrisitia is a butterfly genus in the family Pieridae, subfamily Coliadinae.There are 11 species in this genus, all with neotropical distribution. Observed near Mayan Biosphere Reserve, Peten department, northern Guatemala where yellow butterflies are common. Distribution and population threatened by climate change.
