Golden Gate Park was always meant to be automobile free. William Hammond Hall and John McLaren, the original park superintendents, did not want them to detract from the beauty of nature. But over the decades, cars became more and more common across the country and all around the world, people became more and more dependent on them, even driving through the two roads of the park. In recent years, there has been a pushback to allowing cars in the park, at least along JFK, from Stanyan to 14th Av. The entire stretch of MLK has always remained open to cars. The whole reason to keeping cars off JFK is to have more space in a safe and clean environment for just walking, jogging, bicycling or rollerskating. To add to the beauty and excitement of it, there is now even more, new mural art on the road itself, along with huge letter blocks that spell out Love, which kids can climb on. There are one hundred, brightly painted chairs scattered about, that anyone can just sit down on, and relax and enjoy, or even just pick up and move, if they need to. There are three pianos, that everyone is welcome to play. There are even a few of the iconic Doggie Diner Heads. All 7 feet 213.36cm and 300 pounds 136.078 K of them. These heads are of a dachshund with the white chefs hat and bowtie, but each of the ties are a different color and patter design. The restaurant was very famous for their hotdogs, hamburgers and pastrami sandwiches. As enjoyed 31 October 2022.
