New Castle (Novy Zamok) is a six-floor Renaissance building with four massive bastions located in Banska Stiavnica town, Slovakia. This castle was built in 16th century and now it is declared as a national cultural monument. Originally it served as a watch tower. Because of its dominant position on hill above the town it was also used as the live clock. Where exact time was announced every quarter of an hour by trumpets from bastions. Banska Stiavnica is town inscribed in UNESCO heritage list and it is definitely worth a visit.
