Man Singh, who died in 1614, was one of Emperor Akbar's most trusted generals. His haveli (mansion) at Rohtas Fort originally comprised four rooms, out of which only one survives. The remaining room is approximately 5.5 meters square and is notable for its two balconies on the eastern and southern facades. Each is supported by four brackets with a garuda motif, and surmounted by a three level canopy. The main chamber is domed with a lotus shaped finial on the roof.
