Golyama Kamchia River
Golyama Kamchiya (in antiquity Panisus, in the Middle Ages Ticha, until June 29, 1942 Golyama Kamchiya, until January 5, 1946 Golyama Ticha) is a river in Northeastern Bulgaria, Sliven district - Kotel municipality, Targovishte district - Omurtag municipality, Shumen region - Varbitsa, Veliki Preslav, Shumen and Smyadovo municipalities and Varna region - Dulgopol municipality, left tributary of the Kamchia River. Its length is 199 km, which ranks it 11th among the rivers of Bulgaria). Golyama Kamchia is officially accepted as the initial tributary of the Kamchia River.
