Giant yellow grasshopper on woodland sage
The plant depicted on photo has several names: woodland sage, Balkan clary, blue sage and wild sage. It's latin name is Salvia nemorosa, Lamiaceae family. The plant has little bright purple flowers. A giant yellow grasshopper is sitting on inflorescense. The grasshopper has darker, brown back and black stripes. The wings of the grasshopper are short so it's probably not imago but still a larvae. The photo was taken on sunny summer day in Orenburg, Russia, august 2022.
