Tree Identification of a Yellow Poplar or Tuliptree Flower (Liriodendron Tulipifera)
Flower appears after leaves emerge. They are cup shaped and resemble a tulip flower. The sepal is greenish white, with the petals a brilliant orangish yellow. The center forms a conelike collection of samaras which become viable and disperse in late autumn.
