Grey-headed Woodpecker Scientific name: Picus canus is a bird of the woodpecker family of the order Cornidae. A total length of 27 cm. The upper body of the male bird is green, the waist and tail are covered with yellow-green feathers, the forehead and the top are red, and the pillow is gray with black stripes. The cheeks and chin are gray, and the moustache pattern is black. The primary flying feather black has white horizontal stripes. The tail is mostly black. The lower body is grayish green. The male and female are similar, but the female bird`s head and forehead are non-red.
