Imlil, High Atlas Mountains, near Marrakech, Morocco. Imlil is a small village in the high Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is 1,800 metres above sea level. It is in the heart of the Toubkal National Park. it is the main base for ascending Mount Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa (4167m). The population of Imlil is mostly Berbers or Amazigh. Berber culture is one of the richest cultures. It has its own language, cuisine, jewellery, and customs.
