Cempedak is a native fruit from Indonesia which is quite well known among the public. Cempedak has the Latin name Artocarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr. is also a fruit plant from the Moraceae family. This plant originates from Southeast Asia, and is widespread from the Tenasserim region in Burma, Malaysia, Thailand, and parts of the Indonesian Archipelago: Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, Maluku to Papua. Also often found in western Java.
