Perpendicular view of entrance to the Old Redoubt (Reduta) in Kezmarok town, Spis region, Slovakia. This historical building was build in 17th century as protection tower firstly. Later in the year 1818 it was further modified in Classicist style to redoubt (Reduta). On the facade is old-time coat of arms depicting a crown as a sign of a free royal town and historic Latin inscription: VigILIIs hospItIbV aC obLeCta MentIs DestInata, meaning: Designed for guards, guests and entertainment. In present time there is a library based in this building. Old Redoubt (Reduta) in Kezmarok is declared as National Cultural Heritage of Slovakia.
