Fairies doors various locations Golden Gate Park 2

Fairies or The Wee People, some people really believe are real, magical peoples, found throughout parts of Europe. Depending on where, they have their own stories built up about them, some benevolent and some mischievous. The benevolent repay kindness with kindness, while the mischievous ones repay mischievousness in kind. To help keep the Fairies happy, Tony Powell and son Rio started making gifts of a door here and there for the Fairies, in the trees, throughout the Park. For some unknown reasons, some of the doors would disappear, so other people would replace them. But trees being trees, even with the Fairies, they still do not last forever. If you are enjoying a stroll through Golden Gate Park and come upon one of these doors, please feel free to take pictures, but please leave the door. As enjoyed 6 December 2023.
