Mount Washburn overlook
View of the mountains of the Washburn Range in Yellowstone National Park from the overlook parking lot . Mount Washburn was almost completely burned over in a forest fire in 1988. Barren spots show where dead trees line the mountains from that fire and subsequent fires in later years. A deep blue sky with puffy white clouds on an early September day. Spruce , fir, and pine trees cover much of the slopes.
