The Overhaal is an important industrial monument, due to the history of Broekerhaven. In the 17th century, boats from the polder were already transported to this harbor on the Zuider Zee. At that time, it was done with wheels on a ramp. The electrical installation for this boat lift was built in 1923 and served for a long time in the transfer of vegetables from the polder.
