The Military Museum of the Azores, located in the fortress of São Brás. The historic building is listed as a monument of A jewel of Renaissance military architecture. Built in the second half of the 16th century, it has always occupied military functions. Over the centuries, this fortress has been an important defense structure for the population, and shows the resilience and fighting capabilities of the Portuguese people, also in the Azores.
