Manasa Devi, the Serpent or Snake Goddess at The Malyavanta Raghunatha or Malyavanta Raghunatha Swamy Temple is a significant religious and mythological site located in Hampi, Karnataka, India., In Hinduism, Manasa is the sister of Shesha and Vasuki, king of Nagas (serpents), and wife of sage Jaratkaru. She is the mother of the sage Astika. She is also known as Vishahari (the destroyer of poison), Nitya (eternal) and Padmavati. Manasa is worshipped extensively in Bengal, Bihar, Assam and in parts of the south.
