The Hometown of the Yellow Emperor is located north of Xuanyuan Road in Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is a holy land for the descendants of Yan and Huang at home and abroad to seek roots and worship ancestors. It is also the site of the 18th World Hakka Family Friendship Conference and the annual Yellow Emperor Hometown Ancestral Worship Ceremony. The Xuanyuan Temple was built here during the Han Dynasty, and it has been destroyed and repaired in history. In the fourth year of the Longqing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1570), it was repaired and the "Xuanyuan Bridge" was built in front of the temple In the 54th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1715), Xu Chaoshu, the magistrate of Xinzheng County, erected a monument in front of the temple titled "Xuanyuan Hometown". After two major expansions in 2002 and 2007, the current Huangdi Hometown Scenic Area was formed.
