Funai Castle, also known as Oita Castle, is a historic Japanese castle located in Oita City, Oita Prefecture, on the island of Kyushu. It was originally constructed in 1562 by Otomo Sorin, a powerful feudal lord of the Sengoku period (Warring States period) in Japan.
