The Brihadeeswarar Temple, also known as the Big Temple or Peruvudaiyar Kovil, is a magnificent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. Built around 1010 AD by the Chola king Rajaraja Chola I, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunning example of Chola architecture.One of the largest Hindu temples, it's a true architectural marvel. The towering vimana (tower) is a sight to behold, reaching a height of over 217 feet (66 meters).
