An Orthodox Christian Cathedral Svetitskhoveli in. Mtskheta. One of the most important temples in Georgia, included on the UNESCO list. Over the centuries, the cathedral has witnessed the coronations and burials of Georgian rulers and was the seat of the highest authorities of the Georgian Orthodox Apostolic Church. Currently, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, who holds the office of Catholicos of Georgia, resides here.
