Common raven with leucism Ocean Beach San Francisco 7

the Common raven, Corvus corax, is called common for a reason, they are very common throughout there natural range, most of Canada and Western United States. They are also commonly all black. Unless they have Leucism, like this one. This is a genetic condition where any part of the body does not have the natural pigment, except for the eyes, causing the part to be white. This is distinct from albinism, which affects the whole body equally. As seen 14 August 2024.
