Snowy owls are thought to be medicine messengers from the elders

The snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus), also called the polar owl, white owl and Arctic owl, is a large, white owl. Snowy owls are native to the Arctic regions of North America, breed mostly on the tundra, eat lemmings, and have an average lifespan of 9 years in the wild. They are classified as a vulnerable species. Indigenous people believe that snowy owls are medicine messengers and carry wisdom from the elders.
