The Almudaina, now adjoined to the Castle, was originally the administrative and military headquarters of the Moslem 'Wali'.The Almudaina is a fortified site that held the military and administrative installations of the Moslem 'Wali'. It has an elongated plan and there are nine square towers on the premises. Also in the 18th century, the Almudaina was adjoined to the Castle after a section of the wall and the tower that was between both buildings collapsed. The building underwent a number of renovations in the 19th and 20th centuries
