Zell am Ziller in Tyrol seen from Rohrberg, Austri
The market town Zell am Ziller is located in the rear Zillertal valley in Austrian Tyrol at the junction of the Gerlostal and Zillertal valleys. When in the 8th century monks of the Gerlos pass started converting the inhabitants of the valley, at Zell am Ziller a monkââ¬â¢s cell was established, which is referred to by the monk on the emblem of the village.
