This structure is called the Great Platform or "Mahanavami Dibba" (House of Victory). Hampi. India. King Krishnadevaraya built this to commemorate his victory over Udaygiri (now in Orissa). Archaeologists believe that this platform was systematically improved by successive kings who came to power.
