I captured this tranquil lake scene after a snowstorm silvered the trees with ice, making a perfect frame for the quiet cove showing powdered evergreens and snow-covered houses in the distance. The icicles hanging from the balustrade, crooked wooden steps leading down to the water and a smattering of persistent leaves add interest. It is mostly black and white with a few subtle dark brown colors.
