Half Dome & Mount Broderick, Yosemite, California
Half Dome is a granite dome - possibly Yosemites most familiar rock formation. The granite crest rises more than 4,737 ft above the Yosemite Valley floor at Tenaya Canyon and 2,686 ft above the floor of Little Yosemite Valley. Mount Broderick is a smaller, mesa-like dome (to the right in the photo).
