Braila is a city in Muntenia, eastern Romania and its the countrys second largest port on the Danube. Braila was first mentioned around 1350. The old center of the city has many 19th century buildings, some of them fully restored. It was the birthplace of Iannis Xenakis, the famous French-Greek music composer and theorist. The Blue Clock its one of the city landmarks. Built in 1909 by a clockmaker from Prague, its located in Traian square, right in the middle of the historic center.
