Abandoned and derelict farm in rural France
France, department Indre, region Centre, district La Chatre: in the village Gargilesse there is situated this old ravaged farm. On this farm lives an elderly peasant, small scale farmer. It looks like the time stood still, faded glory. Because of the migration of many young people to the city, urbanization, the French countryside become more and more empty. Rural depopulation, and therefore many farmers can find a successor and at the end the farm deteriorates. Stil llife of barn door, rotting wood and spade.
