Villa Wahnfried in Bayreuth Germany. Wahnfried was the name given by Richard Wagner to his villa. The house was constructed from 1872 to 1874 (architect Wilhelm Neumann). Wahnfried is a museum since 1976. On the facade you can read ûHier wo mein Wähnen Frieden fand ââ¬â Wahnfried ââ¬â sei dieses Haus von mir benannt. Here where my delusions have found peace, let this place be named Wahnfried. In front of the building you can see the statue of Ludwig II king of bavaria.
