THE BLOSSOMING OF GRAND PLANE OF CASTELLUCCIO DI NORCIA
The Castellucio lentils are cultivated in Umbria, in the beautiful plains of Castelluccio, south the Sibillini Mountains. The cultivation of this delicious IGP lentils is still mainly manual and organic. Legumes have an old tradition in this region, they have always been cultivated for crop-rotation, to avoid soil exploitation caused by wheat. Every year in June lentils blossom in colorful flowers, giving a unique landscape.
