This beautiful fall sunset was taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway looking out over Cowee Mountain in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in North Carolina. A heavy fog opened up before sunset just long enough to take this image. Peak autumn foliage can be seen amongst the spruce and fir .
