The Pedra Azul (Blue Stone), state of Espirito Santo, south-eastern Brazil. The Pedra Azul, one of the least known but most spectacular sights in Brazil, is a towering bare granite mountain, almost 1000m high. Its peak is actually almost 2000m high, the other thousand accounted for by the hill country it sprouts out of, an area popular with mountaineers.
