Samarkand
Architecture details of the dome at the Sher Dor Madrasah at the Registan, Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Registan is one of the most relevant exsamples of islamic architecture. It consists of three buildings: Madrasah of Ulugh Beg, 1417-1420, Sher Dor Madrasah, Lions Gate, 1619-1636 and Tilya Kori Madrasah, 1647-1660. The Registan was the heart of the ancient city of Samarkand of the Timurid dynasty.
