View of the Loferer Skihörndl and the surrounding valley near Wiesensee in the Austrian Alps not far from the town of Zell am See. Near by the visitor will find the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, that takes you to the Hohe Tauern National Park, which leads to the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner, elevation 3,798 metres. The road itself has 36 bends at an altitude ascent of 2,504 metres. The road offers a unique world of mountains with blossoming alpine meadows, where sheep and cows graze in serene peace. There are mountain forests, massive cliffs and if you choose to visit the Grossglockner, you will find the Pasterze Glacier eternal ice to the foot of the Grossglockner, the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Hohe.
