Dolmabahce - the palace of the Ottoman Sultans on the European side of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, on the edge of Besiktas and Kabatas. It was built in 1842-53 years. for Abdul-Majid I, who wanted to have a baroque palace, able to compete with European sophistication to the residences of the XVIII century. As the architects were Armenians from Balian family.
