Nederluleå Church in Gammelstad Church Town

The church in Gammelstad is the biggest mediaeval stone church in Northern sweden. It was built in the 15th century, and according to tradition it was inaugurated by Archbishop Jacob Ulvsson Örnfot in 1492. UNESCO added Gammelstad church town to their world heritage list in 1996 - motivated by its outstanding universal value and its relevance to all mankind.
