Thikse Monastery

Thikse Gompa or Thikse Monastery, Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Yellow Hat (Gelugpa). Located on top of a hill. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and is the largest gompa in central Ladakh.
