White dove. Dove (lat. Columbidae) is the only modern family of birds of the order columbiformes, consisting of about 300 species, divided into 41 kind. The family includes pigeons and doves, which are widespread in the Old and New world. The greatest biodiversity of species is observed in southern, South-Eastern Asia and Australia. Most species live in woodlands, often in moist tropical forests. Some species such as rock pigeon, perfectly adapted to life in urban environments, and live in many major cities around the world.
