Exotic fruits Mangosteen Native to Indonesia and Malaysia, the fruit only grows in tropical climates. Here in Brazil, it is in Una , Bahia , some Japanese descent farmers plant about 80 % of national production . In the US, the fruit is super exotic because there is a ban on US Department of Agriculture to import mangostins , since they may contain various pests . So many matters illegally through Canada ( there have to sell because these pests do not survive the cold Canadian , saw Luiza ) .
