A frescoe on a wall of the Church of St Gregory the Illuminator at Ani in Turkey. The church was built by Tigran Honentz in 1215. Ani is located 45 km east of Kars and was constructed in the 10th century by the Bagratid King Ashot 3rd and it became the capital of the Armenian empire.
