Tanuki Lake
Tanuki is a lake near Mount Fuji, Japan. Located in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is part of the Park National Fuji-Hakone-Izu. Originally a swampy area, the lake was created in 1935 neighbor to divert the waters of the Rio Shiba and create a reservoir for use in irrigation. The lake is now a popular vacation spot, with camping sites, fishing, boating and is known for its views of Mount Fuji.
