The Alhambra

The Alhambra, a palace and fortress complex in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It was built by the Moorish in the 13th century. After the Reconquista, the driving back of Muslim rule in Spain in 1492 the site became the royal court of Ferdinand and Isabella and the palaces were partially changed into Renaissance buildings.
