The Camargue is a natural region located between the Mediterranean Sea and the two arms of the Rhône River delta, where in the 19th century industrial salt collection started. At the background the Faraman Lighthouse, a tapered tower which stands 46.5 metres above sea-level and one of the highest Mediterranean lighthouses. In 1967, it was used as the set for a scene in Robert Dhéry`s film `Le Petit Baigneur The Little Bather with Louis de Funès.
