Cashew - Gold of the hills
On the hilly regions of North Kerala cashew grows abundantly in the tropical sun. Here is a fully ripened cashew fruit. The hardened shell underneath encases the cashew, while the juicy fruit above is edible. The pulp of the juicy fruit is fermented to obtain Feni, an alcoholic drink.
